This week is a week of meetings and such at work, all involving lunch. It may be that a bento doesn’t show up here at NEB this week. But never fear. We won’t be without posts for a whole week. Today, I have a post coming for NTM on using my Kitchen Aid food grinder for the first time. Hello hamburgers!
In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you what happened to the ill-fated NEB Prints. If you’ll remember it was an extension of NEB I announced several months back. Then, I switched hosts and NEB Prints was lost in the shuffle. Furthermore, it never really worked like I wanted to, didn’t really do what I wanted to, and in the end, I was glad it was lost. It forced me to rethink, reorganize, and do what I should have done in the first place. Create that ever-lovin’ photography blog that I keep meaning to work on. Now, as you’ve all figured out, many a thing that I try to create outside of NEB seems to be ill-fated. I’m not giving up hope on this one though…
So, here it is: www.nebphotos.com. And here’s the deal.
There are more than a month of posts already waiting and ready. I’m currently working on posts that will start talking about some of my equipment, software, and other techniques I use. I’m also digging out some information I have on building a softbox (if you’re interested in that sort of thing) from my jewelry photography days. Photographing a bento box full of goodies is alot like product photography in a way. I also took a picture of my setup for the above photo. This photo and its setup will appear on NEB Photos in the coming month or so (I have posts through the end of April scheduled right now).
And you’re going to find alot of other interesting goodies. Mainly alot of prints and desktop wallpapers. The first month is nearly all food. Images I’m currently adding to April will include more nature photography. Afterwards, there will be a nice combination of photos to download and enjoy, photos I’ve taken I want to show you how I got the shot, and photos that I just want to share because I want to. I have plans to go out on some photographic excursions soon. I’ll share much of those photos there. Photo Fridays won’t come to an end here at Not Exactly Bento. My Nikon camera has become too much a part of my life for that. Though, I might start considering limiting them to food-related posts only, with the occasional dog photo thrown in now and again. We’ll see what photographs life brings me.
