Winners: October Giveaway

I’m lying in bed with these two canine cutups. We woke early, did a little housework, and decided it was too early for us afterall. It’s a chilly morning in South Louisiana. I’m still whipped after a really long work week. They are whipped from keeping watch over the house while I’ve been gone this week. Or so they tell me.

So as not to feel totally slothful from now until 9:00 a.m. (my personally designated time to get up and moving), I’m writing this blog post while they stretch and snore and give soft doggie wuffles in sleep. I guess we know who really does all the work around here!

So, what might I write about this morning? My cooking plans for the day? Complaints about a work week that resulted in little to no bento? Will I talk in detail about how much I love Pandora Radio (which I’m listening to right now)?  Will I digress into a discussion how I’ve become addicted to old episodes of Benson on Hulu?

No, something much more exciting! October Giveaway Winners! Let’s refresh our memories shall we?

The first prize pack was a bento box and matching belt with chocolate. The second was a prize pack of just chocolate. All chocolate was provided to us by Scharffen Berger.

There were 76 entries between tweets, FB fan page posts, responses here on the blog, and your promotion on your blogs. Thank you! I’m so excited to have such a successful turnout for the contest. I listed everyone’s name in a spreadsheet with where their entries came from. My only concern was that I didn’t get everyone’s entries listed in order as to the exact time they entered.

This bothered me, so I decided to do something about it. This is one really random drawing, and it might just be how I do it from now on. First, the list of names (no last names or identifying information) were entered into Random.org’s List Randomizer which nicely mixed up all the entries for me. Then, the Interger Generator randomly picked two numbers for me from that list: #48 and #74.

So, who are these random winners?

#74, Shannon who entered the giveaway through my Not Exactly Bento fan page on Facebook. She says she was intrigued by another fan’s suggestion of a chocolate themed bento. And thanks to everyone who entered. You made this so much fun, that it’s a good thing I was planning on one giveaway a month! Prizes will go out in the mail in the next week (or so, just sayin’).
